MISSION STATEMENT The Caroline County Sheriff's Department is a branch
of the Caroline County, Maryland Government and is charged with safeguarding the lives of all persons within the County, protecting
property and assisting in securing to all persons equal protection of the law. The Department is committed to preserving
the public peace, detering and preventing the commission of crimes, enforcing the laws and ordinances of the State, the County
and local subdivisions, arresting lawbreakers, preserving order at public places, maintaining the safe orderly flow of traffic
on public ways, serving civil process, providing Circuit Court security and active in crime prevention programs.
INITIATIVES Provide a safe environment for the citizens of Caroline County by commiting to neighborhood watch programs,
community policing, and ensuring that the quality of life in the county is optimized.
Promote community safety, protection
of life and property, enforcement of the laws and Ordinances of the State of Maryland, Caroline County, and local subdivisions.
Provide Circuit Court security and serve civil process.
Provide police protection for incorporated municipalities
where their police department is not on duty.
Address all public safety concerns by collaborating with groups that
represent the needs of the citizens of Caroline County.

FUND SUPPORT
The Caroline County Sheriff's Department is supported by the Caroline County General Fund, revenues from Sheriff's fees, State
of Maryland Aid for Police Protection, Federal Government COPS Fast Grant, reimbursements from the Caroline County Drug Task
Force, Caroline County Board of Education and State of Maryland grants for traffic highway safety program. The Department
is committed to preserving the public peace, detering and preventing the commission of crimes, enforcing the laws and ordinances
of the State, the County and local subdivisions, arresting law-breakers, preserving order at public places, maintaining the
safe orderly flow of traffic on public ways, serving civil process, provide Circuit Court security and active in crime prevention
programs.
